New Community Councillors Needed!

We now have three vacancies on the Community Council – and no members who live in the Gulberwick area. Although members residing in Cunningsburgh and Quarff are also there to act on the behalf of people in Gulberwick, someone with local knowledge of the northern most part of our ward and who can easily be contacted by their neighbours would be of great benefit.

Please get in touch with the clerk or any of the Community Councillors if you would like to find out more about becoming a member.

We usually just have nine meetings a year and you are not obliged to come to every one.

Members are asked to comment on planning applications, have a chance to talk to the police about incidents which have happened in the area and any concerns the public have, decide on which community groups to award grant money to, help members of the public by acting as advocates for them and act as a link between the SIC and the community.
